11:30am – Twitter Data: Monitoring, Mining, and Predicting
Can Tweets predict movie grosses?
It’s easy to perform a simple search on Twitter.com, but basic monitoring is only the beginning of what organizations can do with the data created by Twitter users.
In this session, we’ll show what Twitter provides via their own search engine, and walk through some of the more advanced tools and services available to monitor the real-time buzz.
We’ll also show how enhanced data can be captured via the Twitter API and what additional information such as author gender, age, sentiment and other insights can provide.
In addition, attendees will see how non-parametric modeling and neural net analysis of tweet data can be predictive of movie revenues.
