“It Won’t Stay in Vegas” Blogger Party Coverage Roundup
It’s Thursday and the entire Parnassus team is getting packed up for our flight back to Seattle. Las Vegas is always a trip, but I don’t think there’s one of us that can wait another night to sleep in our own beds.
Of course, the reason we were down here at all was for our “It Won’t Stay in Vegas” blogger party. We’re all pretty proud of how it turned out.
One really remarkable thing about the party is the number of media that it was covered in. We have everything from Twitter to Facebook to Flickr to video. Here are some highlights:
- Update: Looks like CNet enjoyed the Virgin America flight giveaways. Who wouldn’t enjoy free flights?
- Update: Team Sushi has a great rundown of some of the products on display at the party.
- Update: Brian Solis posts some photos and a recap of the party.
- PodTech.net
- Idarose Sylvester observes that, “nothing particularly interesting is happening at CES…but, how the event is being covered IS interesting. Bloggers have surpased the traditional media in terms of importance and credibility.”
- Magnify.net
- Tom Foremski has a great video that covers the party and PodTech’s BlogHaus:
- The hilarious Rod Begbie uses Flickr to crack wise about winning an Intel flight suit and follows it up with a couple of tweets.
- If you’re Facebook friends with Brian Solis, you won’t want to miss his album of photos from the party. You can also take a look at his wonderful photography on Flickr.
- Shannon McKarney of EcoChick was really excited about the 80 free round-trip tickets from Virgin America.
- Joe Duck tells Silicon Valley they could learn a thing or two from the way that CES vendors treat bloggers.
- Robert of the TechKnowMan Show raves about winning a Virgin America ticket and promises to post individually about the offerings from each of our sponsors: Intel, HP, Deal4it.com, Simplay HD, FlyTunes and Virgin America.
- Our very own Jason Preston has a great wrap up of the party with photos.
- I posted some of my favorite photos from the party as well.
- There’s a lot of coverage on Flickr if you search for CES Blogger Party.
Here are some of my favorite party photos:
Very special thanks is due to Kim Larsen for absolutely transforming the Atomic Test Museum into a geeky wonderland. Steve Broback said it best when he toasted Kim after the party and said, “when you’re around, it’s like having Samantha Stevens on your team.”
